From Gof and Mary Thomson, New Glarus:
In our midst is a man who has taken the extra step. It is not often these days that we think of business ethics, except of course when one more big shot gets a jail sentence or some extraordinary amount of money to go away. Business people in this state do think about the ethics of what it is they do each day. How we act and react in many instances has a lot to do with how we sleep.
One organization, The Society of Financial Service Professionals, has gone to the trouble of recognizing businesses that have achieved a high ethical standard. I admit that I didn't recognize the Society, but you may. And I knew next to nothing about the ethics award. But my learning curve took a jump up when Mary and I got an invitation to a dinner where the 2005 winners were recognized.
In the program for dinner we noticed that one of the committee members was Dave Mosher. And equally interesting, Dave Mosher and Associates was a sponsor. Which I think means that besides doing the hard work of the organizing committee, Dave also puts his money in the kitty. Dave Mosher has taken the extra step.
This year, the Wisconsin Business Ethics award (non-profit category) went to HospiceCare, Inc., of Madison and Janesville. And in the small company category the winner was Engineered Plastics Corp. of Menomonee Falls. You can check the Web site for details if you'd like.
It was a refreshing experience to see business men and women recognized positively for their ethical standards. Positively. Ethical. Business. Imagine that.
Thanks, Dave.

I want to thank you for all of your hard work in providing the insane array of insurance that we as a business require. I've never seen a man work so hard to make sure we get the best coverage for the best price. Even when we came at you with the "ungettable get" in insurance, you were there, and you found it. Little did we know that we had a Lloyd's of London right here in New Glarus. But what's best about it all is that you're a pleasure to work with, and the customer service provided is top notch - a far cry from the insurance we were getting when we were in DC. Thanks Dave -- we appreciate you!

We have been associated with Dave Mosher and Associates for over twenty years. During that time, Dave and his associates have assisted us in obtaining policies for life insurance, automobile insurance, homeowners insurance, and our tax shelter annuities.
What has always impressed us are the professionalism and friendliness by which we are always greeted. They are always willing to assist us whether it be a question about one of our policies or seeking a change or advise on coverage and investment. We appreciate the personal attention, the flexibility offered by being an independent agency, and the understanding they provide.
In a time when service is often becoming impersonal due to technology, Dave Mosher and Associates have been able to use technology to provide better service while at the same time maintain a "small town" atmosphere and a sense of caring.

Dave, you are kidded a lot. Everyone knows of your good nature and great sense of humor. But, I don't think as many see the quiet (yes quiet) things you do. Your involvement in Monroe, New Glarus, and Evansville is a gift to each of those communities. Each one thinks they have you all to themselves. You are at home no matter what main street you walk down. Thank you for roasting me in January 04 and introducing me to the New Glarus Chamber Board
