Community Insurance was formed with the 1985 merger of the Eager & Sons Agency with the Erstad, Schaller-Dammen agency. Leonard Eager began with the Hartford in 1917. His sons Alan and Prent entered the business in 1953. Ted Schaller started in the insurance business in 1938. That office became Community Insurance in 1985 with Bob and Mary Dammen and Randy Peters as partners. Dave Mosher purchased the agency in 1996 and remained in their offices at 14 W, Main St until 2002. They relocated to the 16 South Madison  until moving to their current location at 15 E Main St in Evansville in 2010.
